My Time... Gone Fishin'

Happy Sunday everyone!  Hope you all have been enjoying this long Memorial Day weekend.  I am up to my ears in crafting and apologize for getting my post up late.  So let's get to it.
When Irina and Eric debuted the new Summer Collection to the design team I was so excited.  So many cute images in so short a time.  When the new DT debuted each of the new images I was so inspired and awestruck with their creativity in bringing the new Lukas and Marcis to life.

So for my card today I chose Fisherman Luka.  I think he is so adorable with his fisherman hat and fishing pole.  He's on vacation on his own tropical island and can't wait to get down to the ocean to fish for his dinner.  The background is a digi stamp from Make it Crafty and I thought it would be a perfect backdrop for Luka.

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple.  I really enjoyed working with him.  You now have a chance to purchase Fisherman Luka or any of the other Summertime Collection at the NEW La-La Land Store.  And if you hurry over you can take advantage of the Memorial Day sale going on.  Click HERE for more details on how you can receive a 10% discount on all orders over $50.  Don't forget to upload your creation to the Customer Gallery.

Alrighty my friends, it's been such a blast creating and sharing my cards every Sunday.  Looking forward to the new Design Team, and all the changes that will be taking place.  I hope you keep coming back and getting inspired.  You never know when inspiration will strike!

Mahalo Irina and Eric for the wonderful opportunity to create with your wonderful images.  You both have a wonderful line and I am so happy to have been a part of it.  Looking forward to what happens next for you and your collections.  Mahalo to everyone on the DT for your support and inspiration.  And to the new DT, Congratulations ladies, I know you will rock and inspire us with your creativity.  I'm looking forward to it.

And to you lovely La-La Land friends, MAHALO for your lovely comments and for helping bring these cute images to life with your creations.

Hugs,
Leanne

A Simple Birthday Card

Hello La-La Land family!  Hope you are all having a great Sunday afternoon.  :)

I wanted to make a card for my co-worker's birthday and already invisioned using Chef Marci.  She was the perfect image for what I had in mind.  I chose a light color scheme; soft greens, peaches, oranges and white with a hint of yellow and brown.  I altered her pants by drawing in lines to look like plaid and colored them up with the same light green and a hint of gray.  Because the dp (DCWV Linen Closet) was so sparkly I chose to use a very pretty satin ribbon in a light peach color tying a simple knot instead of a fussy bow and adhering it to a pretty mint green card (courtesy of Hanko Designs).  Both pieces of paper were die cut using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles.  It's always nice to make a card that doesn't have straight lines.  I used crystal lacquer on the cake and the bag with the frosting to make it look like ganache.

Don't forget you can purchase Chef Marci along with her other friends in rubbah or digi form in the La-La Land Crafts store.  Both types are wonderfully made.

Okie dokie, time for me to scoot.  Make sure you upload your creations to the Customer Gallery to be eligible to win a free stamp of choice.

Mahalo for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day and a fabulous week!
Hugs,
Leanne

Hey You!

Hey you!  Happy Sunday everyone!  Hope you have all been having a lovely weekend.  I'm spending the next couple days crafting with my buds, Renate, as we finish a project that's due in a couple of days.  Wish us luck! hehe

Today, I'm sharing Fancy Marci on a 4x4 card.  I took the inspiration from one of the make and takes from Winter CHA because I loved the simple design and I needed a quick card.  This layout can be used on any sized card, but since I was putting it with a small gift I thought it would be perfect.  The card I "cased" was created by none other than our wonderful designer, Irina, featuring Chef Marci and if you click HERE you will be able to see the card.  Here is what I came up with:

I colored Marci with Copics and used stickles to glitter up the bow, trim and her hairbands.  The dp is from one of my favorite matstacks, DCWV Linen closet.  The border punch is a MS, one of my favs as well.  The sentiment, from TGF, is stamped on a hand cut banner.  A brown button with a piece of twine accent the bottom of the card.

Mahalo for stopping by and if you are interested in purchasing any of the wonderful, color friendly images please visit the La-La Land store and pick some up today!

Hugs,
Leanne

So Cool...

Good afternoon!!  Hope you're enjoying your Easter Sunday.  Bar-b-que is on the menu for later today, but for now, it's all about crafting with my bestie, Renate.  :)  Which takes me to my La-La Land Crafts post for today.

As I was flipping through the stamps Luka with Truck caught my attention and right then I decided I wanted to use this cutie to make a boy card this time around.  I paired him up with some cute automobile paper and found a Cuttlekid truck die that I colored with Copics to match the truck in his arms.  I punched out a small cloud and colored it to make it look like smoke coming out from the exhaust.  Renate shared her cute brads and I used So Cool for the center of the "smoke."  Have to say I think this little boy is a cutie pie and can be colored to look like anyone's little boy.

Don't forget to upload any of your La-La Land projects to the Customer Gallery.  A winner will be chosen at the end of the month for a cool prize.

Mahalo for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful Easter Sunday!

Get Well!

Good afternoon everyone!  I have a quick card to share with you featuring Doctor Marci.  I recently heard one of my bestie's daughter was sick.  I wanted to send her something cheerful and what could be more cheerful than a Marci card?  Exactly!

Here I went really simple with the design.  Colored Marci up with Copics.  Used my newest border punch from EK and some really fun dp from MME Tickled Pink.  The sentiment was handwritten on a tag punch from SU with a bright turqouise ribbon that pops some of the same color from the dp.  The whole display is on a light peach Tsumugi card from Hanko Designs.

Planning to put this in the mail tomorrow and hoping when she gets it she'll feel tons better.  She won't be able to read it as she's only 2, so mommy or daddy will have to read it to her, but I'm hoping the bright colors and pretty Marci will put a smile on her face.

Wouldn't you love to do that for someone special?  Of course you would!  Well you can with any of the La-La Land images.  They just make you smile and feel better.  Stop by the STORE and pick some up today!

Don't forget to upload your creations to our Customer Gallery, I've been seeing some really gr8 creations. : )

Have a gr8 Sunday!!

Diva Jesalyn in the House

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I wanted to share a card I made for my co-worker's (Patty) birthday. Patty also happens to be my Zumba instructor at work and I think she's just fabulous! She's always working out and never misses a day. She's such an awesome role model and so down to earth. I wanted to give her a card that reflected her personality of femininity & confidence I just needed that perfect image. When Irina & Eric first debuted Jesalyn as a digi, my feet did a happy dance. She is the newest addition to the "Girlfriend Collection" at La-La Land Crafts. She's sassy and confident, yet you can tell she's very feminine. She was PERFECT for what I had in mind. Went simple with the colors and the papers. Love how the turquoise pops on her dress! The little bits of red gives it that fun flare. I saw this layout from fellow DT, Kim Yu's post, (which also happens to debut Miss Jesalyn) and thought it would definitely work for my card with a bit of tweaking. Thanks Kim for the inspiration!

After I dropped it off at Patty's desk, I received an email from her. It said:
" Thank you thank you thank you!!! I want to be a DIVA!!!! The card and your wishes are so beautiful.... ~Patty"

Aw, I'm glad it made her day extra special. I told her she was a DIVA in my book. :)

Don't forget you can purchase Jesalyn along with all of our wonderful images in digital or in rubber formats at the La-La Land Crafts store. We'd love to see any creations you have made with our wonderful images. All you have to do is upload them to our Customer gallery.

Mahalo for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

All About Family

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today's share is another La-La Land Crafts card featuring not 1, not 2, but 3 of the cute kids from La-La Land Crafts. I started out testing the hair color combination with Fancy Marci so I hadn't stamped her whole image. I really liked how the hair turned out so decided to keep the image and colored the rest of her in then trimmed it. While I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with her an idea popped into my head. Why not use a few more images in the same manner? And that was how this card was born. I chose to go with Luka with Truck & Winter Marci.

After coloring them up I thought they looked like brothers & sisters so I "tied" them together with the hand-written sentiment, All About Family. Kept the rest of the card simple with more subtle paper from a K&Company paper pack, a few buttons, a few punched leaves and Voila!

Don't forget, the new Play Time Collection is now available in rubber! You can also purchase these three cuties in either rubber or digital form at the La-La Land Crafts store.

We'd love to see what you create with any of the darling images so don't forget to upload them to our Customer Gallery.

Enjoy the rest of your day and Mahalo for stopping by!

Hugs,
Leanne
