Tutorial Thursday - Accordion Pocket



Hello everyone! Welcome to Tutorial Thursday!
ALLISON here with you today to share a tutorial with you!

Today's tutorial is:  ACCORDION POCKET

A DOUBLE POCKET TO ADD TO JOURNALS, ADD A MAGNET TO TURN INTO A FRIDGE MAGNET OR LEAVE AS IS



PRODUCTS USED

OXIDE INK COLORS
Saltwater Taffy
Shabby Shutters

PAPER CUTS 
6" x 6" cut at 3.5" 
2.5" x 6" cut at 3"


~ now for the tutorial you have been waiting for ~ 


Using a 6x6" sheet of patterned paper, cut at 3.5" 
The remaining piece cut in half


Score the 6 x 3.5" in half
Score the two remaining pieces at 1/2" intervals along the 3" side




Add adhesive tape to both ends of the accordion strips and attach to 3.5"piece slightly above scoreline.

 

Fold up to create pocket and round corners


Cut from patterned paper and vellum a 3.5" by 2 1/4" this will be the front pocket


Die cut a scalloped circle and score in half.  Tie a ribbon close to the score line, add a button and layer torn paper, vellum, pocket, small half doily and glue the other side of the scallop to the back.


Flip over and add adhesive tape on sides and bottom 


Attach to front of accordion pocket 

Cut tags from Kraft card stock and heat emboss in white using the In Blooms stamp set


Die cut a ticket, layer a notebook page with patterned paper and tuck in pockets.  To finish add a paper clip and some nuvo drops.
