Inspiration Thursday - Extra Deep Shaker Card

Hello everyone! Welcome to Tutorial Thursday!

MEG here with you today to share a tutorial with you!

Today's tutorial is:  Extra Deep Shaker Card

Today I'm going to share with you a strategy for making "deep" shaker cards, which are really useful for using chunkier filler elements.

Here is a finished look at today's project.

PRODUCTS USED

PAPER AND DIE CUTS
11 x 4-1/4" white for card base, score and fold in half
5-3/8 x 4-1/8" white

~ now for the tutorial you have been waiting for ~

STEP 1. Using your favorite purple ink and a sponge or blending tool, stencil background.

STEP 2. Cut out circles with the Stitched Nested Circles Die, as shown. Once you cut out the smaller circle on your purple paper, use it to cut out an inner circle on your diamond paper.

STEP 3. Your cut outs should look like this.

STEP 4. Position the purple paper on your card base so you know where you want it to be. Glue down only the center circle.

STEP 5. Remove the purple paper and apply dimensional foam to the back. Make sure you apply the foam without breaks to the back of the circle cut out, because that will be part of the shaker.

STEP 6. After you adhere the paper, apply dimensional foam all around the outside edge of the circle. Make sure there are no breaks in the foam, as this is part of the shaker.

STEP 7. Fill shaker. I've used 3D filler sequins and beads.

STEP 8.
Turn over diamond circle frame, and apply double sided tape all around it. Then, adhere a piece of acetate for the shaker window.

This is what it looks like:

STEP 9.
Remove backing from dimensional foam, and apply diamond cover.

STEP 10. This is what it looks like.

STEP 11. Color up cat, and glue as shown (you have to cut off the tail to do this). Stamp sentiment and cut with die. Adhere clock face. You did it!
