Hello everyone! Welcome to day 17 of La-La Land Crafts Christmas Advent 24 days of tutorials!

Today's tutorial is:  How to Hot Foil using Normal Dies

I wanted to share with you how I hot foil my La-La Land Dies using a hot foiling machine.

I have a fun video tutorial showing you different projects using the hot foil machine and lots of dies. I've made four projects showing you different effects you can do.

PAPER CUTS & SCORING
Card size 4 1/4 x 5 7/8 inches

For this card I show you how I created a hot foiled background using the trees from the Snow Globe Die and I used the smaller snowflake from the Three Snowflakes Die.
I used the Deer Builder Die and I also used papers from the Merry & Bright Paper Pack for his scarf and hat.

This card I made a hot foiled background using the Autumn Things Die and the Stump with Twig* Die. I show you how you can colour your hot foiled images too add some extra fun to your backgrounds.

In the video I try hot foiling onto Vellum. This was a really nice effect and I added a white tag underneath the vellum tag to make this stand out a little more. I used the Owl Builder Die along with the Bear Builder Die. I think these critters look so cute on your cards and tags. I die cut the scarf and hat using the Christmas Cheer Paper Pack. I love how the pink and cream look on the bear.

This is one of the tags I made using the Poinsettia Die. I think this is so pretty and would make any gift extra special. I love how the foiling looks on darker card too.

Hoping you all have a great week of Creating

  21. Loved your video. I guess we have to have this machine in order to get the same effect with the foiling? Probably can’t do that with a laminator. Haha. That’s how I do the rest of my foiling. Thank you for sharing.
