Tutorial Thursday - Have Hope!

Hello everyone! It's MEG here today with a tutorial to show you a "lacy" looking background technique using dies...really any shape, too.

For my project, I've used the following La-La Land Crafts products:

First, using the Scalloped Rectangles Die and white cardstock, cut a scalloped rectangle. Glue onto a 4.5 x 5" card base with a colored background paper if desired.

Second, measure the stitching on your scalloped rectangle. Cut light green cardstock to this measurement, then cut white cardstock 1/8" smaller than the light green.

Third, using the Hope Heart Die and white cardstock, cut out the "hope" tag about 15 times. Stagger the images you just cut onto the white cardstock that fits inside your scallop, and glue down. Refer to the picture as shown.

Fourth, color up your panda and the Awareness Ribbon Die and adhere as shown.

Voila!

The magic of this project is really in the Third step. It gives such a delicate appearance to glue white die cuts onto a white background. Try it with any La-La Land Crafts die! Shapes that can "nest" together well work perfectly for this technique.

I've listed my coloring details here if you're interested:
brown - E44, 43, 42, 41, 40, R11, 43
black - T10, 07, 04
green - YG17, 25, 03, 01

See you next time!
