Congratulations!! Now you are a proud owner of La-La Land Crafts Digi Stamps!! If you have never used digi stamps before, here is a step-by-step tutorial just for you!
Step One - Open the folder on your computer containing your Digi Stamps.
Step Two - Pick your image, right click and choose "Copy" .
Step Three - Open a new Word Document, right click and choose "Paste" .
and here it is!!
One of the great things about the digis is that you are not limited to the size of the stamp, you can print it at any size to fit your project needs!!
Step Four - Choose the size of the image for your project. Right click on the image and choose "Format Picture" .
Step Five - Click on "Size". Pick the size of your image, then click "Save".
I like printing multiple images at once, this way you save time and paper!!
Step Six (optional) - Right click on your image and choose "Copy" .
Step Seven - Right click inside of your document and choose "Paste" .
you can fill in the whole document with the same image..
..or even with different digi images to be printed on the same sheet !!
ready to print? Step Eight - Click on "File" and then from the drop-down menu pick "Print"
That's it!! Now you get the whole sheet full of printed Digi Stamps to play with!!
And here are a few tips for you:
- Print your digi stamps on the paper that you use for your projects. You can print your stamps on cardstock or watercolor paper depending on your needs.
- If you are planning on cutting your digi stamps with die cuts (ie, Spellbinders), make sure to space your images to have enough room.
- Wait for the ink to dry to avoid smudging. Remember, the printer ink is different from the ink that you stamp with. When in doubt, use your heat gun to speed up the process.
Thank you so much for sharing this great tutorial! It helps a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteWow did I need this Thank you so much for your help. I am excited to get going. Now to get all of the sick ones in my family to leave me alone so that I can play
ReplyDeleteI can't thank you enough for this information. It answered all my questions about the basics. This is really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI have been told that since I use Copics, I have to use a special printer ink? I have an ink jet/photo printer. Will the image smudge?
ReplyDeleteYou don't need any special printer ink. Just make sure to test with your Copics before coloring the image. With some printers you can color right away and with some you have to let ink dry longer. Just try and see what works for you.
