Embossing with La-La Land Crafts dies.

Hi everyone, it is Renee Ludlow here ready to share a quick tutorial with you.

We all love La-La Land Crafts dies.  But did you know that you can also emboss with these wonderful dies? Since this week is Emboss It week on the blog, I thought I would share with you how I used the Butterflies Set 1 dies to emboss the background of my card.

The wonderful thing about the crafting community is that we all share our ideas and inspiration.  This idea came from my friend Philippa Barr.

I use a Cuttlebug, but I am sure that a similar effect will be able to be achieved in other cutting machines.
You will need a Spellbinders Tan embossing mat for this to work.

The Cuttlebug Sandwich you want is as follows:
A plate
B plate
Tan Embossing mat
Paper to be embossed face up
La-La Land Crafts Die face down
B plate.

Once you have ran your plates through your machine you will be left with an embossed image...pretty cool hey! The tan mat stops the die from cutting all the way through the paper.

If you want you can take this one step further.  By adding a small amount of paint to your finger tip and slightly rubbing it over the embossed image you get a more distressed feel.

So next time you pull out your gorgeous La-La Land Crafts dies, remember that they aren't just for cutting.  The possibilities are endless!!

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.  Don't forget, you can always share your makes with us in our Customer Gallery and/or on our Facebook Page and Group.
