We are super excited to introduce our new Guest Designer - Cheryl Valadez!!! When I first saw Cheryl's work, I just knew she would do wonders with LLLC images!! Just wait to see!! Hello! My name is Cheryl Valadez and I'm thrilled beyond words to have this opportunity to work with the very talented La-La Land Crafts design team as a guest designer. I have been playing with paper and making cards for just over 12 years and I never tire of it. About a year and a half ago I started a cardmaking blog and through that I have met some wonderful crafting friends from near and far. Last year, I also started teaching monthly cardmaking classes at a local rubber stamp store and again was overwhelmed at the friendliness of the patrons. I have learned that Papercrafters, as a whole, are a very generous and supportive group and I am honored to be part of that community.

A few other things about me...I have a wonderful supportive husband, and two beautiful fat cats who occasionally allow me the privilege of showering them with affection in exchange for an unending buffet of food and unlimited naps. The four of us reside in fabulous Albuquerque, NM right in the heart of the Land of Enchantment. I am also lucky to share my cardmaking hobby with my very talented mother and we get together and gab for hours about the latest products and images.

I can’t begin to tell you when I started crafting. As a little girl, I played sports and goofed around. It wasn’t until middle school that I chose art over band. My love for anything artsy continued through college where I took more art classes such as paper-making and weaving. Yes, they had such classes at the University. Then one year in the early 1990’s, my cousin and I decided to make homemade Christmas cards. It was our tradition until the children entered our lives.
Over the years, I’ve collected and accumulated a whole bunch of craft stuff. I feel like such a hoarder because I continue to buy the latest products as my hubby allows me. I am a SAHM to 2 beautiful children whom I love dearly . . . hence my name, 1LuvnMama! I’m considered a newbie to the blog world, but have since enjoyed every moment of it! I’ve learned much from other very talented crafters and have made wonderful friendships along the way. I am honored and humbled to JOURNEY through this experience of stamping and crafting with such a great TEAM! Special thanks & mahalo to Irina for giving me this wonderful opportunity!

I'm a stamp at home mom with 2 young children, a daughter of 7 and son who is 1. I've been stamping for over 8 years now, but really started exploring the craft when my family lived in Germany for 2 years. I started blogging my cards back in 2006 after our move overseas, and started playing with all the different stamping products out there. Now, after being back in the States for 1.5 years my addiction is as strong as ever, and I'm so excited to have this opportunity to work with Irina and the other La-La Land ladies!! Yes, Sparkle is my real name. I'm half Hmong and half Chinese. My ethnic names translate to "shiny light", hence why my parents chose Sparkle as my American name. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and now live in Seattle, Washington with my wonderful husband, Brent. I have been stamping and scrapbooking since I was a teen and am excited to be a guest designer! I look forward to seeing all the lovely creations.

New addition to our Design Team and our new Guest Designers

Time flies when you are having fun!! And we are sure having fun here at La-La Land Crafts!!

With that said we have to say goodbye to our November-December Guest Designers. We are very sad to see them go :-( Katie and Moon, we have really enjoyed having you on our team!!

Cheryl Rowley of Cottage Creations!!

Thanks to my mother, I have been creating as long as I can remember! I had supplies for just about every craft imaginable-needlepoint, macrame, leather tooling, candlemaking, knitting and crocheting, painting, and well, you get the idea! Before coming to stamping I was in many a craft show selling my tole painted goods which had been cut by my dad and sanded for painting by my mom! It was fun and profitable for many years! I came to stamping about 12 years ago and love it more everyday! I'm so pleased to be a guest designer for Irina and La-La Land Crafts!

My rubber stamp collecting began in April of 1994. I saw a stamping demonstration and immediately saw the potential for hours of fun with our three daughters! That PSX victorian winter house stamp caught my eye and there was no turnin’ back!!! Then twelve or so years ago, I learned how to color with Studio II pens, an alcohol based marker similar to Copic markers in how they color. A rep for the company taught us how to color with them and when they went out of business we were so sad! A couple years ago when I started reading and seeing copics online, the desire to color started building inside me again!!!! Got out the "cute" stamps and that was all it took! I love coloring and cutting! lol
I've been married to my best friend Tim for 34 years! We have three married daughters….Heather, Amanda and Breanna and we have grandchildren!!! NINE of them! Wonderful, delightful, the joy of our lives! They love coming to G-ma Pam’s to do “art” as they call it! Course the Cricut is their favorite thing to do! The copics will be next I'm sure! November Special Guest Designer: Jackie Pedro

Hi! My name is Jackie Pedro and I live in beautiful California! I am Mom to two girls (8 & 10) and wife to a great husband who tolerates, I mean, supports my stamping habit! I have been stamping for about five years and have the need to create everyday! I'm honored to be a special guest this month for La La Land Crafts!

Isn't Kirby adorable? I stamped Christmas Kirby in Memento Tuxedo Black on PTI White and colored him in with Copic Markers. I added some Crystal Snow Glitter with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to the brim and ball of his Santa Hat and to the top portion of the stocking. The DP is from Rustic Snowflakes from Papertrey and don't you love the ribbon? Lisa Johnson gives a great tutorial for this ruffled ribbon trim on her blog!
