A Short Term Farewell and a Votive . . .
Hey Gang, 1LuvnMama here! Don't let the title of this post scare you. Although this is my last post for La-La Land Crafts Blog, I'll be back at some point. My farewell is for a short time since I'm awaiting the arrival of my little guy. Like I said, I wanted to go out with a BANG with this post. I hope you'll stick with me because I have lots of photo shots to share with you!
For my project, I made a Votive Card using a tea light. I saw this on Splitcoaststampers some time ago and thought I'd give it a try. I made this Votive Card two-sided . . . one in a Halloween theme and the other in a Christmas theme.
Here's the Halloween theme featuring Pumpkin Marci and Witch Marci.
Got Candy?
Witch Marci is just flying by to say "HI"!
Ho, Ho, Ho . . . Merry Christmas!
Walking in a Winter Wonderland!
This is the top view looking down on the tea light.
I wanted to show what the Votive Card looks like with the lights dimmed and the tea light on.
How did I make this card? Here's the dimensions . . .
I cut a piece of CS at 8-1/2" x 12". On the 8-1/2" side, I scored the CS in half at 4-1/4". Turn the CS around to the 12" side and score at 3", 6", and 9". Using an Exacto knife, cut on the score line from the 3" mark to 9" mark. This will give you an opening for the tea light. Decorate as you wish and adhere the two ends shut. You can make the dimensions any size you want, it's totally up to you. I hope my directions make sense . . . I'm not good at tutorials. You can actually fold up this Votive Card and tie a ribbon around it to give as a gift.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I enjoyed making it. I know I'll keep this out in the next couple of months. Be sure to visit the Online Store to get your Marci & Luka stamps. They are perfect for the upcoming holidays!
Thanks again for all your support and I'll definitely keep you updated on the "boss"!

Sweet Little Witch Marci
It's a good thing that I can still have lots of fun with the winter Marcis and Lukas!!! I'll be back soon with more to share. In the meantime, I hope you have a la la lovely day!!!
Santa Marci
Hello, everyone! Kim here today!
I am so glad Friday is finally here! This week has been loooong!
I am slowly but surely getting more Christmas cards done! Yay! All thanks to all these cute winter/Christmas Marci's!
For my card today, I used Santa Marci. She is as cute and sweet as can be! I love little girls with Santa's hats! So cute! Oh which reminds me, I gotta start working on my daughter's hat! I think my son outgrown his already so that's two crocheted Santa's hats on my list...
Anyway, I decided to use up some of my scraps and this is what I came up with! Pretty cool layout, huh? LOL Did you spy a Tim Holtz' embossing folder?? Well, not the folder here but I used it on the green cardstock. It's not Christmas themed but thought it looks cool for Christmas.
Those gold snowflakes are K&Company chipboard stickers. Border punch is by Martha Stewart. Sentiment is by Hero Arts. I also use polar white Flower Soft and Sparkly Fluff on Marci's outfit.
Well, that's all I have for you guys today! Hope everyone have a lovely Friday! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Winter Marci in Fall colors
Howdy La-La fans, Jana here. How is everyone today? For today's card, I was totally inspired by this card from Karen, because I just loved the colors she used, and I remembered I had this fabulous dp from my LSS (sorry, can't remember who makes it just now!) that would be perfect.
I stamped Winter Marci on a perfect panel from MFT, then stamped her again on the reverse side of this amazing floral print for the linen look burgundy to paper piece her coat and hat. I then used my W1 and W3 copic markers to add some shading to her coat and hat - that works like a charm!! I colored in the rest of her, cut out the pieces and put her all together. Then, I cut her out with my labels 14 nestie and went to town with my sponges and some creamy caramel and true thyme inks.
I went for a very simple layout, and just added a strip of the reverse paper with some lace across the card, then started playing with different buttons. I hadn't quite finished when my good friend and demonstrator Michelle came over with my jumbo button share from SU! It was EXACTLY what I needed!!
I finished off the inside with some more dp and a great SU! stamped greeting, and voila! Perfect fall bday card! So...what have YOU been creating with your La-La Land stamps?? We'd love to see your creations, so please link them up on the LLLC blog here, and you could win some La-La Loot! Have a fabulous day!

I Need A Hero
Hi I'm Shantaie Fowler and a big "Hello and Happy Wednesday" to you all! Could you use a Hero today? If you are like me an everyday hero is probably easier to find than a super hero that can leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Star Boy Luka is the perfect guy to to celebrate the heroes we have in our lives each and every day! Watercolored with markers in muted oranges, reds, and turquoise Star Boy Luka is bold, brave and ready to go.
Be sure share your latest creation in the customer gallery it just makes our day to see the fun and inspirational ways you are using your La-La Land Images, { you could even say that makes you our hero! }
Thank you so much for visiting today, we appreciate you spending part of your day here with us here in the Land Of La-La! *grin*
Fall Marci Tissue Box Cover
Happy Wednesday La-La stampers!! I'm Kris and I have a fun project to share... this tissue box cover that I saw in the SCS Weekly Inkling. There's no bottom to it, and the "lid" is glued on so these are real simple to lift up and switch out the tissues! I think I'll make one for each season for my desk at the office ... pretty it up a bit at work =)
For 2 of the sides I stamped Winter Marci and colored her in Fall colors to match the designer paper. Isn't she just the sweetest?? LOVE her! Definately one of my faves in this winter release.
Hope I've inspired you to Ink Something! =) If you create with these adorable LLLC characters, please share them with us in our customer gallery!
Please come back later today to see Shantaie's Super Cute card!!

Sweet Dreams Marci!!
Karen here today, and I am sharing Sweet Dreams Marci with you!! I thought I would paper piece her little nightgown and bunny slippers today with this beautiful and soft paper from My Minds Eye!!
I loved the print on this designer paper, and it kind of reminded me of those little nightgowns I used to purchase for my beautiful daughter when she was younger! The pink backround has been embossed with the little hearts and a simple little ivory bow was tied with a little flower, button, and pearl added! The card base is one of my Silhouette die cuts by Hero Arts! I love the sweet little flowers on each of the four corners!!
Don't forget to upload your cars to the Customer Gallery!! It's almost the end of the month, but there's still time to play and for a chance to win a prize!!
Have a wonderful day!

This card measures 6" x 6".
I used my "tile" technique on the Country background image behind Luka. It is oh so pretty in real life, I really wish the picture would show it!! Background stamp is by Stampendous called Forest Cottage Scene. After I embossed the whole layer with UTEE twice, I colored on the top with Copics (BG72, BG75, G99, E39, R27) and White Sharpie.
Martha Stewart Fence punch.. I usually use this punch for Halloween, but it also looks like the fence on the background stamp.. country like.. The snow on the bottom of the fence was made with Snow Paste by MuddPuddles, I bought mine at Scrapbook Island.
Caroling Luka was colored with these Copic Markers:
Skin - E00, E01, E02
Hair - E13, E35, E37
Hat, Sweater and Mittens - R22, R24, R27
Pants - YG91, YG93, YG97
Jacket and Boots - E11, E13, E35, E37
Wreath - YG03, YG63, R27
Stampin' Up corner. Copper brads in the corner and on Luka's jacket for the buttons.
Swirl stamp is from clear stamp set by Prima. Sentiment inside of the card is from clear stamp set by Hero Arts.
Hugs!!

The Witching Hour...
Hi everyone, Jana here! The witching hour - every mother knows it! It's that last hour before "daddy" comes home and rescues us from our angelic children who are tossing every toy they own all around the house while screaming at the top of their lungs. You know that time...when you're pulling out what little hair you have left and hoping there's a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge. Now we have Witch Marci to help us get through that last hour, because we won't care how messy the house is while we're coloring her!! :-)
Witch Marci is just adorable, and so much fun to color!! For my card today, I used the great Halloween stack from Basic Grey, along with the matching chipboard stickers, some fun fuzzy spiders and a killer rhinestone spider web.
I really love coloring in these new Marci stamps. They are nice and big (this is a 6 by 6 card!) so that you have lots of open space for all that fun shading.
I finished off the inside too...with some more basic grey paper and a happy Halloween sticker from last year's $pot at Target. Gotta love those good buys!! Have a wonderful Thursday...and make sure you've got that bottle of wine all chilled! :-)

(*grin*)

Super Cupcake Sweetie
Hello Shantaie here with Super Cupcake Marci, she is pretty in pink, and even sweeter on this round treat container! She is all decked out in various shades of pink prisma pencils and a splash of glitter to top off her cupcake logo! I did a bit of recycling as the round candy container started life as a laughing cow cheese box, I can never bring myself to throw out those types of containers, they just are so useful in crafting! You can fill this little round with anything from a cupcake shaped gift card {Target},vanilla and strawberry flavored lip gloss or everyones favorite treat CANDY!!!
I found these super cute velvet brads by doodlebug, they are so soft and really cute! I will be ordering these in every color for sure! While I'm letting you in on my shopping trips, check out this fun paper ribbon I found at World Market in the gift wrap section, I'm smitten!!!
I read a quote today that I want to share with you:
"I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I've written myself, and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part" ~ Shirley MacLaine
I plan to have the utmost fun being me, and how much more fun can you get than a hot pink Cupcake super hero? I mean really she is so SUPER cute!
Thank you Irina and Eric for all the smiles you bring to the world everyday with the adorable La-La Land stamps!
