Tutorial Thursday - Dog House Treat Box

 

 

Hello everyone! Welcome to Tutorial Thursday!

ALLISON here with you today to share a tutorial with you!

Today's tutorial is:  DOG HOUSE TREAT BOX

A mini dog house treat box to tuck some yummy treats for your furry friend.

PRODUCTS USED

Paws And Reflect Clear Stamp Set

Long Flags Die

Stitched Nested Hearts Die

Woof Die

Magical Forest Paper Pack

Mushroom And Grass Border Die

SPECTRUM NOIR COLORS

Dog - TN5,4,3,2,1,CR1

Grass - DG4,3,2,1

PAPER CUTS & SCORING

6X6 PAPER

6 3/4" and 5 1/4"

4 1/2" and 7 1/2"

~ now for the tutorial you have been waiting for ~ 

Start with your favourite LLLC 6x6 paper

Line up one corner of your paper on the 6" mark on your score board making sure to line up the opposite corner on the same 6" mark.

Score at 5 1/4" and 6 3/4"

Rotate one turn keeping on the same 6" mark and score at 7 1/2" and 4 1/2"

Cut the 4 corners out leaving tabs beside the 5 1/4" and 6 3/4" score lines on each side

Using scissors cut the points of the tabbed section 

Die cut second largest heart out of one of the larger sides.  Use the negative heart cut out to cut the next size down heart.

Tape an acetate window to the back of the heart cutout section.  

Attach double sided tape to flaps and fold up and burnish. If too much flap is going to hang in the window, trim flaps thinner.

Glue smaller heart to front of window.

Attach grass strip with dimensional tape.

Add Doggie and sentiment and the word Woof.

Add a few nuvo drops, a button and bow and tie closed with string or ribbon.
