Hi everyone! It's Meg here today with a gift box for all of you last-minute Christmas wrappers! This box is perfect for chocolates, small gifts, or a coupon book, and it measures 7" x 4.5" x 1".
First, using a piece of 8.5" x 11" chipboard, score at 1" and 2" on all 4 sides. Use a bone folder to crease your score lines. Then, using the following as a guide, cut off all pieces that are identified below.
This is how it will look after cutting:
Second, apply adhesive as shown below. You will create the bottom
of the box by folding the 1" sides down upon itself and inserting the
tabs between.
Third, using another piece of chipboard - this one measures 7" by 6.5", score at 1" across each long edge. On one of those 1" edges, apply adhesive and adhere to one side of the box.
Here's the resulting look:
From this point, it's easy to decorate your box, add a clasp to the open edge, anything really!
