Tutorial Thursday - Box card

Hi!
Tamara with you today. I'm sharing with you a simple idea how to make a cute 3d card.

What you need:
kraft cardstock
white cardstock
design paper

scoring board
paper trimmer
double sided adhesive or liquid adhesive
3d foam dots

La-la land crafts products you need:

Step 1:
Cut a rectangle from kraft cardstock measuring 5" x 15.5". Make score lines at 0.5", 3", 8", 10.5"

Fold so that you get a small box without the top and bottom.

Step 2:
Take the biggest die from the Double stitched squares set and place it in the middle of the 5 x 5" part. Run it through your die cutting machine.

You get a window. That is the front of your card.

Step 3:
Cut two rectangles from white cardstock measuring 6" x 5" (fold at 1/4" on both sides so that you get a flap).
Cut two squares from design paper, measuring 5" x 5" (yellow and green in my case).

Step 4:
Take one of the stitched hills die and place it on the square like I did. Run it through the machine.

Take the part that's eleft and do the same with the other die from the Stitched hills set.

You get two diffent hill backgrounds. One of them should be taller than the other one.

Step 5:
Do the same thing with the Stitched clouds border. Make sure that you're cutting inside the score lines (which are 1/4" from both sides). Cut two different ones.

Step 6:
Choose and colour your image. Stamp the sentiment and cut it out.

Step 7:
Glue the yellow part inside the box.

... add the taller hill part on the bottom of the yellow background.

Step 8:
Glue one flap 1/4" from the score line (look at the picture). The pretty side is facing towards the window. Close the flap (with adhesive on) and close the whole box like on the picture below. That way you'll get a perfect fit.

Closed and glued first border. Now do the same with the other one. Leave some space between them.

Step 9:
Add your chosen image and decorate acording to your taste. At the end glue the flap on the right and close the box.

Closed box should fit nicely into a flap envelope.

Step 10:
That's it. :) I hope you like my box card. There's so many different themes you could do and so many different dies and stamps to use.

Hugs, t.
