Hi All, Debbie here today to show you how I created the Zentangle Card I showcased a few weeks ago in our Oodles of Doodles challenge. I also had the opportunity recently to teach the ladies at the recent La-La Land Palooza Retreat this technique too, which was a lot of fun......
Here's my original card to remind you what we're doing :)
Things you'll need....
Speech bubble from Stitched Elements Die Set
Digi designer paper (if desired)
Memento Dual Marker - Black (or any copic compatible black fineliner)
White paint or gel pen
Glitter gel pen
The first thing I did was layer the snowflakes and Paper Doll Marci onto some digital designer paper and print it out. If you're not sure how to do this check out my tutorial HERE. Now let's get started.......
Step One
Using a black marker colour in alternating sections of the pre-printed detail on Marci's hat, sweater and socks.
Step Two
Using the thicker end of your marker (or a black copic) add some thicker lines to the side of the image and to Marci's hat and sweater.
Step Three
Using the fineliner start adding the details of your patterns
Step Four
Add more details to complete your patterns
Step Five
Add colour
Step Six
Finish off by adding white and black dots to add definition to your design. Colour the open snowflakes in with glitter gel pen.
Trim and add to a card front with die-cuts and sentiment.
I hope you all have fun playing with this technique. It's easy when you break it down and realise it doesn't have to be perfect :)
Happy Stamping
Debbie
