Howdy folks, Jana here! I love the new Girlfriends collection - these ladies are sophisticated, and elegant, and VERY flirty! For some reason Jesalyn (currently available as a digi stamp!) brings Marilyn Monroe to mind for me...perhaps it's that dress! So for today's card, gave her platinum blond hair and a white dress that could be blowing up over an air vent - just like Marilyn!
I used my lovely Circa 1934 paper from Cosmo Cricket (LOVE that stuff still) and some NEW nestabilites that I just picked up at Memories Live On today (they arrived - WOOHOO!!) Of course I had to add some ribbon, and a touch of bling.
I used 2 stamps from MFT's Who's That Birthday Girl for sentiments...one on the front and one on the inside. I thought they fit perfectly!!
Have a wonderful Thursday everyone...Friday is right around the corner!

Diva Jesalyn in the House
Happy Sunday everyone! Today I wanted to share a card I made for my co-worker's (Patty) birthday. Patty also happens to be my Zumba instructor at work and I think she's just fabulous! She's always working out and never misses a day. She's such an awesome role model and so down to earth. I wanted to give her a card that reflected her personality of femininity & confidence I just needed that perfect image. When Irina & Eric first debuted Jesalyn as a digi, my feet did a happy dance. She is the newest addition to the "Girlfriend Collection" at La-La Land Crafts. She's sassy and confident, yet you can tell she's very feminine. She was PERFECT for what I had in mind. Went simple with the colors and the papers. Love how the turquoise pops on her dress! The little bits of red gives it that fun flare. I saw this layout from fellow DT, Kim Yu's post, (which also happens to debut Miss Jesalyn) and thought it would definitely work for my card with a bit of tweaking. Thanks Kim for the inspiration!
After I dropped it off at Patty's desk, I received an email from her. It said:
" Thank you thank you thank you!!! I want to be a DIVA!!!! The card and your wishes are so beautiful.... ~Patty"
Aw, I'm glad it made her day extra special. I told her she was a DIVA in my book. :)
Don't forget you can purchase Jesalyn along with all of our wonderful images in digital or in rubber formats at the La-La Land Crafts store. We'd love to see any creations you have made with our wonderful images. All you have to do is upload them to our Customer gallery.
Mahalo for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
Hugs,
Leanne
Express yourself!
Yaye for expression! Yaye for originality! And yaye for Dress Up Marci!
Here is my little monthly contribution to La-La Land Crafts. I just bought a new set of Prisma color pencils and thought I'd see how I'd do. I think a little more practice is in order, but I do love the colors. They were inspired by the DCWV Citrus Stack. I can't wait to play with her again and see what colors she decides to wear next time!
Don't forget, if you have any creations using Marci or Luka, we want to see them! Add a link to our Customer Gallery and share the smiles!

Wonderful Things . . .
Hello La-La peeps, 1LuvnMama here! Boy, has life been nuts around here! My son had Spring Break last week -- in the midst of trying to get things done during that time, he got sick. Then, my hubby got sick . . . and what do you know? I got sick over the weekend. Our Spring Break wasn't so fun, just trying to recover. Now, my poor baby is sick. Like Kim said, something is going around. Praying everyone stays healthy! :)
On to my post. Here is my card for La-La Land Crafts. Meet Dress Up Marci. She is one of 3 new images that's been released. You can find her {HERE} for purchase.
I could totally picture myself trying to dress up like my mom as a youngster. I used to try on her heels and walk around the house like a grown-up. Oh, the wonderful things in life! I paper pieced her and used my copics to create shadows on her hat and dress.
Here's a close-up.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Just Sitting Here
Hello there!
I have been sick so I haven't been crafting. Actually, I haven't been to my desk since early this week. Yeah, pretty unusual for me. I have been fighting this cold/flu for like almost a month already! I sort of got rid of it, then it came back...got rid of it and yes, it came back again a third time this last weekend! I tell you, there is some weird virus going on out there! Take care, everyone!
I am so glad I have some cards I haven't shared previously! LOL This is one of them. I used Darling Marci on this card. She is available at our online store HERE.

Luka is hot, hot, HOT!!!
Hi everyone, Jana here! Don't you just love little Luka?? and as a fireman? ADORABLE!!! And you can have him for his very own in digital format - just head over to the La-La Land crafts digi store!
He works so well with this fabulous Basic Grey paper...and the mojo183 sketch. I had blast coloring him, although I see on this up close photo that I didn't get everything blended perfectly.
I think I'll have to send this to a friend of mine who's dh is a firefighter...she can give it to him for a special occasion!

I'm the Mother of Girls
Hi there! I have another card featuring Dress Up Marci, from the Playtime Collection. You can purchase her right now as a digi (and soon in rubber) by clicking on the “DIGI” link above.
My sister sent me this vellum poem called Mother of Girls and I thought it was perfect with this Marci. I think I might have to frame this card or add a ribbon hanger for the wall *Ü*
The poem reads:
SHOES in the HALLWAY
and CLOTHES of the FLOOR;
THe LINE is BACKED up to
the BATHROOM Door.
MAKEUP and HAIRSPRAY
and GADGETS for HAIR;
DRESSES and JEANS and
PINK UNDERWEAR.
All COLORS of JARS to
POLISH your NAILS;
A MOTHER spends HOURS
SHOPPING for SALES.
THINGS that SMELL Good
and LIPSTICK and CURLS;
I'M sure YOU can GUESS,
I'M the MOTHER of GIRLS.

Fireman Luka!
Just last week Mama and Papa La-La (Irina and Eric) of La-La Land Crafts introduced new and fabulous images. A new Marci and a new Luka to add to the Playtime Collection plus another Girlfriend - introducing Jesalyn! For now they are available in DIGI format only, but in a few short weeks they will be released in RUBBER!!
Today I decided to work with this unbelievable cutie pie...Fireman Luka!! I have to admit that this is a project that I will be working on further, but I'm happy with the base and wanted to share it nevertheless. I love working with wood and decided to try this large letter purchased from Joann's. The Cuttlebug was used for lil' Kayden's name and the paper is all held together with Modge Podge...ok, ok, I know it's actually Mod Podge, but saying MODGE Podge makes me smile more! LOL! I also colored my little Fireman with Copic. And for those of you who don't know who Fireman Luka's lil' four-legged buddy is, his name is Tuffy!
We'd love to see what you create with any of the darling images so don't forget to upload them to our Customer Gallery.
Have a great day!

Hey HOT STUFF!
1LuvnMama is here with today's post. I hope you have a hanky in hand to wipe away your sweat . . . some HOT STUFF is coming your way! :) It's Fireman Luka, one of the 3 new images released this week! You can get him in digi form {HERE}. Don't worry, you will be able to get him in rubber real soon.
I jumped at the opportunity to create with this hunk because my hubby is a firefighter. If you're not familiar with the Honolulu Fire Department's firetrucks, you'll be surprised that our trucks are YELLOW, not red. As you can see, Fireman Luka is dressed just as a HFD firefighter would be dressed . . . blue shirt tucked inside his yellow turnouts. He wears black boots and a black helmet. Yes, the straps holding up his pants are red.
I thought I'd create a little scene for him. He's right on time to put that fire out!
Here's a close-up of Fireman Luka along with his trusted pal, Tuffy. Check out his pants . . . I sponged some Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress Ink to create the BLACK SOOT from firefighting. Too funny! :)
That's it for me! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Who Loves Sketches?
Hey there!
Today I (Kim) have something totally new to share! Well, it's still a card! LOL It's the image! Meet Jesalyn! She is one of the newest member of the La-La Land Crafts family! She was just released this week and is available in digi format. She is a part of the "Girlfriend Collection".
I was browsing online and came across this awesome sketch and I just knew that I have to use it for this pretty girl! I have so much fun putting this card together...for real!
I do hope you guys have a fabulous Friday and are looking forward to the weekend! I know I am! Have a great one, everyone!

Dress Up Marci available NOW!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day ! Jana here, and I hope you've all got your green on today, Marci sure does! I just LOVE this new Marci. Who didn't love to dress up when they were little? And wearing mommy's shoes? Always the best!! I actually colored this image at my Copic certification class, and Jennie helped me with it!! Cool, huh??
I knew I wanted to color her purple and green to match this fabulous Pixie-licious paper, and thought it was fabulous when I saw Irina had used very similar colors for the packaging. Notice the pearls I added to her necklace? I thought it would give her a little more dimension.
I colored the rose with my copic airbrush system, and colored the ribbon with a marker so it would all match. The card is a little bigger than I usually like to make, it's a full 6 by 6, but I wanted to take advantage of this fabulous paper, which really reduced the number of layers needed.
Now after you go download the newest digis, be sure to link up your creations on our customer gallery page, and you could WIN more La-La Land stamps! What are you waiting for?

Monday is my La-La Land Crafts day and I've been making Mother's Day cards again, Mother's Day is in early April for us in the UK this year.

Luv to all!
New Girlfriends Collection
Posted by Kris
Good Morning!! I have 2 cards to share today, both using new stamps from the "Girlfriends Collection!" Ally was released at winter CHA is available now in rubber or digi, and Jesalyn is brand new this week and is currently available in digi form, here on the blog (see "Digis" link above) and will soon be released in rubber as well.
"Jesalyn"
I used this gorgeous new paper by Prima called "Madeline" and colored her with Copics. The pink frame is actally cut out and popped on top of the designer paper she's sitting on.
"Ally"
I've paired her with this big chair stamp (non-LLLC), and I paper pieced her top with the same Wisteria paper that I used in the background. Crocheting double flowers is my new favorite thing to add to cards =)

All About Family
Happy Sunday everyone!
Today's share is another La-La Land Crafts card featuring not 1, not 2, but 3 of the cute kids from La-La Land Crafts. I started out testing the hair color combination with Fancy Marci so I hadn't stamped her whole image. I really liked how the hair turned out so decided to keep the image and colored the rest of her in then trimmed it. While I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with her an idea popped into my head. Why not use a few more images in the same manner? And that was how this card was born. I chose to go with Luka with Truck & Winter Marci.
After coloring them up I thought they looked like brothers & sisters so I "tied" them together with the hand-written sentiment, All About Family. Kept the rest of the card simple with more subtle paper from a K&Company paper pack, a few buttons, a few punched leaves and Voila!
Don't forget, the new Play Time Collection is now available in rubber! You can also purchase these three cuties in either rubber or digital form at the La-La Land Crafts store.
We'd love to see what you create with any of the darling images so don't forget to upload them to our Customer Gallery.
Enjoy the rest of your day and Mahalo for stopping by!
Hugs,
Leanne

A little hello...
Hello everyone! Time to share my second contribution to the La-La family. Could not resist using my lil' La-La Land Crafts Panda! He is too sweet and cuddly and just waiting for a hug. HUG HIM!! You'll feel great! When I get stuck or frustrated with a project, my boyfriend always reminds me to keep my cards simple, "Don't try to do EVERYTHING on one card. Just say it simply." I think I was able to do that here. The paper is My Mind's Eye - Quite Contrary with a touch of color from my trusty Copic markers. I hope you enjoy!
And don't forget to upload your projects at our CUSTOMER GALLERY! Sharing is gooood!

Meet Our Spring Guest Designers!
Good evening! Last Sunday you got to see some fabby creations by our two newest Guest Design Team Members, and so now we'd like to officially introduce you to them!! Renate and Leanne will be with us for our Spring term. These girls, along with some of our design team, volunteered at the La-La Land Crafts booth at CHA, so some of you had the privilege of meeting them IRL! =) So without further ado, here's a little about Renate...
Renate
Hello, my name is Renate' (that's Reh-nah-tay). I am a native L.A. "kid" and live happily with my wonderful boyfriend and loving dog. I started stamping in the 1980's and spent most of my time making decorative albums for myself and friends. Since elementary school, I have loved making gifts for others and began altering many different items, as well as making cards. My love for crafting never fully went away, but definitely took a back seat for a while. But in creating 130 invitations (along with RSVP cards, programs, table numbers, and name cards...the whole shabang!) for one of my best friend's wedding several years ago, my love of creating found new life. It reminded me why I loved creating so much in the past. There is no better gift than to bring a smile to someone's face with something handmade. I am completely new to blogging, but with the encouragement of good friends (especially by super buddy Leanne) and the absolute support (and crafty helping hand) of my man...I am entering this new world. Can't wait to share the smiles!
You can visit Renate at her blog, hapagirlren humbly handmade
and here's a little about Leanne!
Leanne
I've always loved drawing, arts, crafts, sewing, crocheting, pretty much just making things. I started out with art classes & drawing in Middle school, when I got to High school it was all about sports and photography, sad to say I never could get back into drawing and I envy those that do. I tried scrapbooking, but I found it was too stressful and I didn't have enough patience nor energy for it. Then my good friend, Renate, introduced me to cardmaking.. I loved it! I have added other projects than just cardmaking, but I think cardmaking is my first love. It's something that I enjoy and has kept me busy when I'm not working. I am really excited to be a guest designer for Irina & La-La Land Crafts, and really looking forward to working with the DT. I hope you all like what I share. Mahalo! :)
You can visit Leanne at her blog, Finding My Groove
