a few cards from my friends..

We will announce the winners of our last La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge - Stitching tomorrow, and there will be a new challenge coming this Wednesday.. But today I wanted to share with you a few cards that I received from my friends!!



This first card was made by Connie Monahan. Connie made a card with Fairy Lala, I just LOVE the colors that Connie used for this card, pretty butterfly paper and she colored Lala's hair red!! Doesn't Lala look like me ;-) well kind of, sort of? I love all the finishing touches.. the ribbon, the label with sentiment, the butterfly charm, the flowers with pearls. And take a look at the inside of the card!! Isn't it just gorgeous inside and out!! Thank you SO MUCH Connie!!



The second card came from my friend Michelle VanWiggeren. I just love how Michelle made our "Window Lala" look through the cut out window on the card, what a clever idea!! Thank you Michelle, I LOVE your card!! Michelle just started a new blog, and she is having a Blog Candy to celebrate, check it out!!


About the card above.. I got an email today from Lisa T, Lisa has won our Blog Candy a few weeks ago. It was such a wonderful surprise to see a card made with Teddy Bear Rosie on Lisa's Blog. I just love the soft colors of the paper, and Rosie looks so cute with red hair!! Thank you SO MUCH Lisa, I love-love-love your card!!!

And the last but definitely not the least, is the card that was made during a Make-and-Take at our Grand Opening La-La Gala by Gregory Perieff, a boyfriend of one of the ladies.. Can you tell he had fun ;-) Here is the link to the original card if you would like to compare.. Oh, the stamp used on this card is from our Animals Collection, Running Clover. Running Clover is a two-in-one stamp, it comes with the Chicken and the Chicken Foot Prints!!

Halloween Release Sneak Peek plus Blog Candy

Winners of La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge #1

First I would like to thank EVERYONE who has played along, it was so great to see all the entries into our first challenge ever. The first challenge was hosted by our Design Team Coordinator, Jane Matsumoto, and had a theme of "Flower Power".

Twelve of us (me, Design Team and the Guest Designers) had a poll on the favorite entries. It was a close call and was very hard to choose!!!

It can be Prima flowers (or similiar), pressed flowers, embossed flowers, stamped flowers, etc. The challenge is to use your flower(s) in a way where it stands out but the main focus should still be your stamped image.

Dreaming of Purple Lollipops..

"I will take you to the sky with my wand and my wings, we will dream of purple lollipops and other sweet things."

Oh, I love this LaLa SO MUCH, she is one of my favorites!!! She is so pretty with her hair done like that, the fairy wings and the wand!! This is one of the stamps from our LaLa collection. You can find her and other LaLa stamps on our website.

This card measures 6" x 6".



This is a pretty simple layout, but I really LOVE how it makes the image stand out. Designer paper I believe is by K and Company, but not quite sure, it is from my old, very old stack of paper. I cut DP half an inch smaller then the purple cardstock layer and then cut it diagonally in fourth. The square behind LaLa was paper pierced. Flowers are from Imagenisce, they were pink and I have airbrushed them with a couple shades of purple with my Copics. Hero Arts pearl stickers in the centers of the flowers. LaLa was colored with Copics, cut out and popped in the center of the card. Crystal Stickles on her wings and the star.
