Tutorial Thursday- Easy to make Mini Album

Hello La- La Land Craft friends,
Elizabeth here, and I want to show you at tutorial for an easy- to- make- mini album.
I will show you how to create the base and you can decorate it for every season or occation.
You can easily make it smaller or bigger yourself by adjusting the sizes.

Warning: This is picture heavy! I am not very good at making it short,
so please be patient with me :D

1. start by cutting 3 pieces of cardstock. I used kraft for mine.
Measurements:
3 pieces of 5 x 12 inches

2. ONE piece is the cover of the album. Score at 4", 4 1/2", 8 1/2" and 9".

 3. The other TWO pieces are for the album pages. Score at 3 3/4", 7 1/2" and 11 1/4" on both of them.

4. Cut patterned papers. I used a paper pad to get a variation of coordinating papers in the same color- range, but you can use any papers you want.
Measurements:
- 3 pieces of 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" For the front, first page and middle page of cover.
- 2 pieces of 4 3/4" x 2 3/4 for both sides of the left side of the cover.
- 4 pieces of 4 3/4" x 1/2" for the small parts of the cover- inside and outside.
- 11 pieces of 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" for the album pages.
- 1 piece of 9 3/4" x 3 5/8" for the envelope page (see next picture).

5. I wanted to make an envelope or pocket for one of the album pages.
I use one 9 3/4" x 3 5/8" piece, and score at 2 1/2" and 7 1/4 and fold.

6. I like to ink the edges with brown ink to get a distressed look. I used Walnut Stain Distress inks on this.

7. Time to attatch the album pages. Add glue or double sided tape as shown. Glue it on to the middle part of the card base. I have the smallest flap of the card base on my right.

 8. Like this.

 9. Attach the second piece to the first piece like shown.
10. And your album base is done.
Now it's time to decorate!

11. Start by adding ribbon under the paper on the front and back of your album.

12. Here's the book covered in design papers!

13. Here's my little envelope/pocket. I will add some brads and thread as a closing mechanism.

14. Now it's time to decorate!

I'm using Winter Marci and lots of dies to decorate my winter- themed mini album!
